One of the ten largest human services agencies in Chicago, Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc. provides services to more than 12,000 individuals annually. Forty percent of our clients are persons with disabilities. In addition to its abstinence program for youth, McKinley provides a broad array of services, which include job training and placement, child welfare services, individual and group counseling, special and alternative schools, day care and after school programming, senior care, college preparation and placement, and residential services. Since 1991, the agency has won more than 30 program and outstanding service awards, including the United Way Award of Excellence (2002). The Family Services program has received the Outstanding Service Award of the Metropolitan Chicago YMCA (2001), the Service Award of the Illinois Department of Public Health (1997) and the Far South Chicago Gang Initiative Award for community relations (2004).
