We are experts in the field of abstinence education and in 2004-05 made presentations to over 5,000 teens in schools and other youth/parent organizations in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. We present the information in a factual, non-judgmental approach. There are many facets of our interactive presentations, but a few highlights are:
Accurate information is given on STDs, pregnancy and teen parenting.
Students are encouraged to develop their own values, to understand cultural values, to increase self-esteem, to gain insights into the opposite sex and to recognize their responsibility to others.
Students practice interpersonal skills in communication, decision-making, assertiveness and refusal skills.
Students begin to develop responsibility and consider abstinence, resist pressure of early sexual involvement, and start over, if they have been sexually active.
Parents are given communication tips, tools to identify their own family values and current data on STDs and cultural realities.
We have Internet and statistical information to leave for the students and a take-home workbook for parents.
