Lawndale Christian Health Center's "Lawndale Community Youth Development Program" (LCYD) provides Abstinence-Only education to the communities of North and South Lawndale and East and West Garfield located on Chicago's Westside. LCYD is a multi-dimensional program providing abstinence-only education in neighborhood schools, one-on-one counseling and educational groups to adolescents and parents at our three clinic sites, and an after-school program, SEEDS, that provides youth development activities, educational enrichment, and Family Strengthening Programs for participants in 7th through 10th grade.
