Roseland Christian Health Ministries, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, dba Christian Community Health Center in collaboration with the Greater Chicagoland Abstinence Coalition has provided abstinence education since 2002 through The Advantage Plan (TAP) Abstinence Education Program. The program is funded by a grant from Special Projects of Regional and National Significance through the Maternal and Child Health Bureau a division of the Health Resources and Services Administration. The TAP Program serves African-American adolescents and their parents across Cook County, Illinois through the Chicago Public Schools, churches, and other community organizations utilizing four curricula Why kNOw, I Am Worth the Wait, Game Plan, and No Apologies. In the 2003-04 school year over 9,500 students in over 60 schools and community organizations were served through the TAP program. For more information, visit www.cchc-online.org.
